Meet Catharine Covert |
|
| She has worked in both the profit and nonprofit sectors, as a manager, program developer and interviewer in high stress situations. As a career federal employee, she won numerous awards including a cash award from GEICO Service. This was a national award in the Physical Rehabilitation field for her work in breaking down social barriers to hiring disabled people.
In addition she performed mediation services at the King County Dispute Resolution Center and King County small claims court, as well as volunteer work at a Crisis Hot Line. Her formal education includes a Masters Degree, training in communication techniques with Dr. Marshall B. Rosenberg, founder of The Center for Nonviolent Communication, and additional training with Holley H. Humphrey and Susan Skye, longtime associates of Dr. Rosenberg. |
